Wali saha pena – වැලි සහ පෙණ

ජීවිතය වනාහි පෙරහැරක් සම වන්නේය;
හෙමින් ගමන් කරන්නා පෙරහැර ඉක්මන් වැඩියැයි කියමින් ඉන් ඉවතට යන්නේය;
ඉක්මනින් යත්නා පෙරහැර ප්‍රමාද වැඩියැයි කියමින් ඉන් ඉවතට වන්නේය.
Life is a procession. The slow of foot finds it too swift and he steps out;
And the swift of foot finds it too slow and he too steps out.
La vie est une procession. Celui qui marche lentement la trouve trop rapide et en sort;
Et celui qui marche vite la trouve trop lente et en sort lui-aussi.
